About Me
The Full Story
I was born with a visual impairment. I'm registered blind, I have Rod Cone Dystoryphy, and Nystagmus and I am severely myopic. This means everything is very blurry, I wear glasses and use a long cane or my Guide Dog Yashka when I'm out and about. I also live with anxiety and depression and I'm trans.
I'm studying for a PhD in Creative writing at Manchester Metropolitan University. I have a First Class Hons degree in Creative Writing from the University of Derby and a Master's degree in Creative Writing from Nottingham Trent University.
I decided to create Blind Man's Bluff n Stuff because I wanted to express my thoughts, my writing and my daily activities because it is something I feel very passionately about. I once had another blog during my undergraduate days, but I wanted a fresh start where I could create something new and exciting. So join me in my adventures with Yashka and follow our journey through disability, mental health and academia.
